National Park Service Solicits for
Flight 93 National Memorial Visitor Center Construction
LAKEWOOD, CO - The National Park Service posted a solicitation today for the construction of the Flight 93 National Memorial Visitor Center in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. The work entails, but is not limited to, the construction of the visitor center and learning center campus, related infrastructure and utilities, earthwork/site preparation, landscape features, construction of a pedestrian bridge, and parking area.
Four construction firms, who hold multiple contracting agreements with the National Park Service, will be submitting bids on the project. The National Park Service encourages any interested firms to contact these construction firms to inquire about subcontracting opportunities for the project.

In addition, a site visit will be held on April 23, 2013 from 9 a.m. - noon for any interested subcontractor to meet with the prime contractor candidates. The site visit will be held at the Flight 93 National Memorial Park Maintenance Facility, located within Flight 93 National Memorial. Interested parties should meet at park headquarters, 6281 Lincoln Highway, Stoystown, Pennsylvania 15563. The group will then travel to the existing maintenance facility and visit the future site of the work.
