Parks Accepting Applications for the 2013 YCC Program

TUSKEGEE, AL - Join the Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) and become an important member of a cadre of dedicated individuals who work and play in the national parks. As a member of the Youth Conservation Corps you will personally have a role in protecting the nation's precious resources.

The 8-week summer program begins on June 3, 2013. Young men and women, 15 through 18 years of age, who are permanent residents of the United States, may apply. During the term of employment, you must be at least 15 years of age and not have reached age 19. Enrollees will be paid the federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour for a 40-hour work week. Candidates will participate in outdoor repair projects with the Maintenance Division.

Applications are available online https://www.nps.gov/gettinginvolved/youthprograms/ycc.htm and at all four National Park Service locations. Please include the last four digits of your Social Security Number on the application form.

Submit your completed application form at the following locations between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM. The deadline is Friday May 17, 2013:
