The public is invited to join park rangers and volunteers for programs at Congaree National Park in June. All programs are free and begin at the Harry Hampton Visitor Center unless otherwise noted.
Better with Age: Join a ranger for a short program about the value of Congaree's towering old-growth forest.

National Trails Day Volunteer Project: Roll up your sleeves and join park staff to clear trash from the Hwy 601 bridge area along the Congaree River Blue Trail. Trash bags, water and snacks will be provided. Sponsored by the Friends of Congaree Swamp, Trader Joe's and American Rivers. Meet at the Hwy 601 bridge. Through an ongoing partnership with Fulmer Middle School art teacher Melanie Ward, student art depicting moths and butterflies will be on display in the Harry Hampton Visitor Center throughout June. The facility is open 9:00 am-5:00 pm daily.
