Enjoy Lively Latino Music with a Free Concert from Marcos & Sabor
at Homestead National Monument of America
OnSunday, July 28, 2013, at2 p.m.be a part of the Latino Musical Experience with Marcos & Sabor at the Homestead National Monument of America Education Center. Marcos & Sabor’s lively music will not only entertain, but engage the audience. The music will be presented in both English and Spanish. This concert is part of the 2013 Homestead Concert Series. This concert is free courtesy of the Nebraska Arts Council and the Hevelone Foundation. Come early and have a picnic and enjoy the exhibits at the Heritage Center.
Marcos & Sabor will perform some of Latin America’s most popular rhythms and songs in both Spanish and English. The concert will include singing, playing and dancing to make it an educational and interactive experience.The audience learns about the culture and history of Latin music; including what a “Grito" is. A Grito is a yell or expression in Mexican culture that shows appreciation of an art form. The audience will learn several Gritos and be encouraged to participate throughout the show.
“This concert will be a fun experience for everyone as they hear the rich, diverse music of Latin America", stated Monument Superintendent Mark Engler.
