Special Route 66 Ranger Programs at Petrified Forest National Park Saturday Aug 17 2013

Petrified Forest National Park is the only National Park with a section of Historic Route 66 within its boundaries! To celebrate this and raise awareness of this fact, several special programs will be offered this Saturday Aug. 17, 2013. Cruise on in to the park and experience the spirit and romance of this famous American road!

What: A program about Route 66 to include a walking tour of the Inn

Where:Painted Desert Inn

When: 10:00 am

What: A guided ranger walk along Route 66 (about a ½ mile)

Where: Route 66 Wayside

When: 11:30 am & 1:30 pm

There is an entrance fee of $10 per private vehicle to enter the park.

Dress appropriately for outdoor activity, to include sturdy footwear.
