Ozark Riverways Reschedules Public Meetings Due to Weather

Ozark Riverways Reschedules Public Meetings

VAN BUREN MO: Acting Superintendent Russell Runge announced today that the public meetings for the Draft General Management Plan have been postponed due to the recent winter storm and poor condition of many roads in southeastern Missouri. States Runge, "After much consideration we feel it is prudent to postpone the meetings for the safety of the public and our staff. We sincerely regret any inconvenience that has been caused by these additional cancellations, but want to ensure that we can provide the greatest opportunity for public involvement in a safe manner."

The public meetings have been rescheduled to the following dates:

The Draft Plan may be reviewed online at www.parkplanning.nps.gov/ozarkgmp. Comments may also be submitted on this website or through the mail to the park Superintendent. The public comment period for the Draft Plan which began on November 8 will continue through February 7, 2014.
