FLAGSTAFF, ARIZONA - The National Park Service (NPS), U.S. Forest Service (USFS), Coconino County, and City of Flagstaff partnered to complete a congressionally mandated study to explore management options for a study area of federal (USFS), state, and private lands surrounding Walnut Canyon National Monument. The report describes three viable management options for the study area: continued USFS management; congressional special designation; and congressional restriction on exchange of federal lands.
