Solicitation for Chalets Concession

The National Park Service has released a prospectus for the award of a new concession contract to operate Granite Park and Sperry Chalets, two backcountry lodging chalets located in Glacier National Park.

The current concession contract for this service, held by Belton Chalets, Inc., since 2005, will expire on Dec. 31, 2014. The new 10-year concession contract is anticipated to take effect Jan. 1, 2015. The contract is for seasonal concession operation of the chalets. Granite Park Chalet is a hiker shelter providing lodging accommodations and kitchen facilities for guests to prepare their own meals and Sperry Chalet is a backcountry hotel with lodging accommodations and meals provided by the operator.

Parties interested in learning more about this opportunity and how to submit a proposal should visit the National Park Service Commercial Services website at https://www.concessions.nps.gov/. This site can be used to access the prospectus, which provides information on the business opportunity and the terms and conditions of the contract. Hard copies of the prospectus are available for a fee and must be requested from the National Park Service Intermountain Regional Office per the information on the National Park Service Commercial Services website.
