Theodore Roosevelt National Park invites the public to GO WILD! for nature, history, wildlife, and fun during National Park Week, April 19 - 27. Entrance to the park during this annual nation-wide celebration will be free Saturday and Sunday, April 19 and 20, as the National Park Service is offering free entrance at all of its 401 park units which regularly charge fees.
“National Park Week is an excellent time to visit the park to see spring returning to the badlands," said Superintendent Valerie Naylor. “This is a great week to see the first wildflowers of the year and the newborn bison and horses." A variety of short national park movies will be shown in the South Unit Visitor Center on both
Saturdays and Sundays during National Park Week. “We invite everyone to the park and show them what we have to offer for recreation and family activities," added Naylor. “We have something for just about everyone. This is also a great time to plan for a longer summer visit."
