Park Rangers are working in coordination with the following organizations to provide support for the search and rescue operations at Congaree National Park:

Lexington County Emergency Management

Richland County Sherriff's Department

Richland County EMS

Columbia Fire Department

Lowcounty Incident Management Team

SC State Law Enforcement Division

Community Emergency Response Team from Lexington County

South Carolina Urban Search & Rescue Task Force Team 5 and 6

South Carolina Department of Natural Resources

National Park Service

Park officials appreciate the interest of people willing to volunteer their services, but at this time, the operation is being coordinated exclusively with trained personnel working with these agencies. Interested volunteers should contact www.scemd.org/pio/south-carolina-cert for information on upcoming training opportunities. The public is asked to refrain from calling emergency services to offer volunteer services.Emergency lines must be kept open for emergency traffic only.
