SAUGUS, MA - Saugus Iron Works National Historic Site, the 17th-century birthplace of the iron and steel industry in North America, opens for the 2014 season this weekend, May 3rd 2014. The park will be open daily from 9am - 5pm. Visitors to Saugus Iron Works can enjoy free ranger-led tours, live demonstrations, an education film, audio tours, a museum and numerous walking paths and trails.
