LAKE MOHAVE MARINA CONTRACT SOLICITATION DEADLINE EXTENDED

BOULDER CITY, Nev. - The National Park Service has extended the closing date for proposals to operate the full-service marina at Katherine Landing on Lake Mohave within Lake Mead National Recreation Area to July 8.

The key elements of the contract authorize the operation of the marina, including moorage, boat rental, food and beverage, retail, fuel and other services.

Katherine Landing is the second most popular area within Lake Mead National Recreation Area. In 2013, more than 1.3 million people visited the developed area, up 38 percent compared to 2012. For 2014, visitation is up another 18 percent.
