BOULDER CITY, Nevada - The Lake Mead National Recreation Area Interagency Communication Center received a call at 8:57 p.m. June 12, reporting that a plane had crashed near Echo Bay Airport within Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
Emergency personnel from the National Park Service, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Search and Rescue, and Clark County Fire Department are on scene.
The number of people on board is unknown at this time. There are reports of a fire.
