Due to extreme conditions, all fires at Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area are prohibited effective Aug. 1, 2014, until further notice.No open flames are permitted.This includes but is not limited to charcoal fires, tiki torches, incense burners, etc.Exceptions include: 1) self-contained propane or gas stoves or lanterns;and 2) portable propane campfire units that are Underwriters Lab (UL) approved and located 10 feet from vegetation and logs.
