A Wet and Wild Saturday at Craters of the Moon

As befits a wilderness celebration, wild nature ruled the day at Craters of the Moon National Monument on Saturday. The day's activities included a fun run, a puppet show, an exhibit dedication, a film festival and an astronomy presentation.

The day began with a run around the park's loop road. Results from the 5 and 10 kilometer races are available at the following link:

Everyday is a "wild" day at Craters of the Moon thanks to the far-sighted actions of those who established the first Wilderness area in the National Park System here in 1970. We invite you to experience Idaho's national park for yourself.
