The Obed Wild and Scenic River, in partnership with local bowyer, Travis Gosnell, presents another primitive bow workshop on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 5:00 p.m. (ET). Mr. Gosnell will be continuing the process of building a primitive bow. This event will take place in the Obed Visitor Center in Wartburg, Tennessee. Mr. Gosnell is a history teacher at Wartburg Middle School and has devoted much of his life studying local historical events.
The workshop is free to the public and all ages are welcome to attend. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program. Visitors are encouraged to bring their questions and curiosities about this centuries old tool. Visitors will also learn about how these primitive tools were made and what a huge impact they had on those who used them.
