National Park Service Seeks Comments on Design Concepts for Memorial Circle Transportation Plan

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on Feb. 25, 2015. It is reproduced in full below.

The National Park Service (NPS) is accepting comments on preliminary design concepts aimed at

improving safety near Memorial Circle and reducing conflicts between pedestrians, bicyclists and drivers. These concepts, informed by the public

comments, will become the foundation for alternatives that will be presented later in the year. This is an opportunity for the public to be involved before these

alternatives are formalized.

Public Meeting

An open house to discuss the concepts and answer questions about the project will be held on March 3, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the NPS National Capital Region

Headquarters located at:

1100 Ohio Drive SW

Washington DC 20242
