RIDGELAND, MS:Natchez Trace Parkway officials announce that paving will beginJune 2, 2015on a section of the Parkway in Hinds and Madison Counties. Work will be done from milepost 77 (south of MS 467) to milepost 115 (north of MS 43).
Short sections of the Parkway will be paved to improve the quality and smoothness of the road surface, and new pavement markings will be placed on the entire section. Periodic single-lane closures will be in affect while paving. The project was awarded to Dickerson & Bowen, Inc. of Brookhaven, MS. The anticipated completion date is late fall 2015.
Parkway travelers should be aware of possible delays and are advised to use caution through the work area.
