1 DEAD IN POSSIBLE DROWNING AT BOULDER BEACH

BOULDER CITY, Nevada -An adult male has presumably drowned after swimming near Boulder Beach at Lake Mead National Recreation Area June 14.

At 1:12 p.m., the Lake Mead Interagency Communication Center received a call reporting that the man was swimming and appeared to be drowning.

National Park Service rangers responded and initiated life-saving care. The victim could not be revived and was pronounced dead at 1:44 p.m. He was not wearing a life jacket.

The Clark County Medical Examiner will confirm the victim's identity and determine his cause of death. The incident is under investigation.
