Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore (Lakehore) has made the difficult decision to cancel the Port Oneida Fair scheduled for Friday, August 7 and Saturday, August 8. The Star Party scheduled for Saturday, August 8 is also canceled. With the area of Port Oneida still without electricity and water, and several major visitor areas within the Lakeshore still closed, the National Park Service determined that resources could not be pulled from the emergency clean-up on-going at this time.
