BOULDER CITY, Nevada. -The following events are happening at Lake Mead National Recreation Area Aug. 8 to 30.
Ranger Program: Colorado Watershed, Aug. 8
Join a ranger to learn more about the 244,000-square mile Colorado Watershed and the impacts that are occurring at Lake Mead.Rangers will share how low-water affects the lake and the community at large. Volunteer Program: Native Seed Cleaning, Aug.8
Volunteers are needed to help clean native seeds for restoration efforts around the park Aug. 8. Join a ranger to learn about one of the parks native plants and to lend a hand in cleaning the seeds. Call Nancy at 702-293-8714, for more information and to register.
Ranger Program: Composting 101: Turning Trash to Treasure, Aug. 9
