Halloween Open House Event on Hallows Eve

William Howard Taft National Historic Site will celebrate a Halloween Open House event. The house where William Howard Taft was born and grew up will be decorated to reflect the mid-Victorian period during the Halloween Celebration as part of our National Park Service Centennial events.
On Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015 at 6:00 pm, join a "Victorian Visitor" for a look into the origins of the "Hallows Eve" celebration, and the 19th century traditions and customs surrounding this unearthly holiday. Visitors will enjoy arts and opportunities to make Victorian Halloween keepsakes as well as tour the Taft House. There will also be refreshments available at the Taft Education Center. The event is free and open to the public.
Visit the Directions page for maps and directions to William Howard Taft National Historic Site. The park is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m, Tours of the house are available throughout the day. The park is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day.
