Come Visit Us at the Oklahoma State Fair

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on Sept. 15, 2015. It is reproduced in full below.

Washita Battlefield National Historic Site park rangers will once again be staffing a booth at the Oklahoma State Fair along with rangers from Chickasaw National Recreation Area and the Oklahoma City National Memorial. The booth will be open from Thursday, September 17 - Sunday, September 27 and rangers invite everyone to stop by.

The theme for this year's booth is "Every Kid in a Park." This is a nationwide effort to target every fourth grader in America by offering them and their family a free pass to visit as many of America's parks, monuments and public lands and waters as they can during the school year. We will also have information and handouts for you covering the 2016 Centennial of the National Park Service. Stop by for a visit, we'll be looking for you!
