Sitka National Historical Park is proud to announce that the Every Kid in a Park Initiative began on Sept. 1, 2015. The initiative's goal is to get all 4th graders and their families to experience the places that are home to our country's natural treasures, rich history, and vibrant culture.
If you are a U.S. 4th grader (including home-schooled and free-choice learners 10 years of age) you can download your own voucher to gain unlimited, free access to any federal lands or waters for a year!
Getting a pass is simple! Visit the "Get Your Pass" section of Every Kid Outdoors, complete an online game, and download a personalized voucher for print and use at federal lands and waters locations. This paper voucher can be exchanged for a more durable, Interagency Annual 4th Grade Pass at certain federal lands or waters sites. The pass is FREE and covers entrance and standard amenity fees at all federal lands and waters for a full year beginning September 1 and ending August 31 of your 4th grade year. It does not cover expanded amenity fees such as camping, boat launching, parking, special tours, interpretive fees, special permits, or ferries.
Sitka National Historical Park does not charge an entrance fee, therefore we will not be carrying the passes on site.
