WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015 (Public Lands Day). Volunteers can join in anytime from 9 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.
WHAT: To celebrate Public Lands Day, the National Park Service and the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation are sponsoring a volunteer beautification and clean-up effort along Hylan Boulevard.
WHO: Volunteers will join rangers from the National Park Service and the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, along with New York State Assembly Member Nicole Malliotakis, in this annual clean-up effort.
WHERE: Gather at the entrance to Great Kills Park at the corner of Hylan Boulevard and Buffalo Street, Staten Island.
NOTE: Volunteers should wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Protective gear such as gloves and Tyvek suites will be provided.
