The National Park Service invites you to celebrate the life of abolitionist, author, activist, and statesman Frederick Douglass with a day of family-friendly fun. Special activities include crafts, games, ice cream churning, junior ranger activities, and tours of the historic home. Activities begin at noon and end at 4 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public. Public transportation is available via Metro to the Anacostia Station. Additionally, limited parking is available at the site. The Frederick Douglass National Historic Site is located at 1411 W Street SE, Washington, D.C., in the Anacostia community.
