Capitol Reef National Park is a great place to learn to preserve and protect our Earth. Join ranger programs and activities to understand the dynamic interactions between our planet's natural systems and to have fun!
Join us for special programs Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17 as park volunteer Dennis Jex presents an educational and exciting look at snakes and their importance to our ecosystem. Programs will be held at 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm each day at Ripple Rock Nature Center, located 0.9 mile (1.4 km) south of the visitor center on the Scenic Drive. Each program lasts 30 minutes and includes an opportunity to see and hold a love non-venomous snake.
Ripple Rock Nature Center will be open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm both days featuring many hands-on activities as serving as Junior Ranger Headquarters.
