Looking for some more light during this darker time of year? Come celebrate the Winter Solstice a few days early by safely observing and learning about our sun. Join members of the Colorado Springs Astronomical Society and Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument staff as we view the biggest part of our Solar System.Viewing will take place between 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on the back porch of the visitor center on Saturday, December 19.
This is a unique opportunity to investigate our Sun with special optical equipment.This "star stare" is part of an ongoing series of astronomy programs that are offered at Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument.
