KEYSTONE, SD: Superintendent Cheryl Schreier invites you to celebrate New Year's Day at Mount Rushmore National Memorial. Enjoy the Tournament of Roses Parade on a big screen at the Carvers Café Jan. 1, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. hosted by Xanterra.

The Tournament of Roses Parade 2016 theme is "Find Your Adventure" perfect for the National Park Service Centennial Year. Xanterra will provide a free scoop of Thomas Jefferson ice cream to anyone attending the parade viewing. A taste of history, Thomas Jefferson ice cream is from the original recipe Jefferson served at the White House.

Park Rangers will be ready to photograph any visitors who would like to document their first day of the year by having their picture posted on the park Facebook site. Rangers will be distributing Junior Ranger stickers to any children attending the parade viewing.

After the parade attendees can visit the Lincoln Borglum Museum, watch the park movie, enjoy the bookstore or stop in the gift shop to commemorate the Centennial Year. Join the fun;spend your first day of the New Year at Mount Rushmore National Memorial.
