Availability of Wetland and Floodplain Statement of Findings for Chester Mills Road Bridge Replacement

TUPELO, MS: The National Park Service is seeking public comment on a wetland and floodplain Statement of Findings (SOF) that analyzes the impacts of replacing the bridge on Chester Mills Road over McCurtain Creek (milepost 187, Choctaw County, Mississippi). The purpose of the project is to replace the bridge to comply with current bridge safety requirements. This SOF documents compliance with Executive Orders 11988, 11990 and 13690, which govern protection of wetlands and management of floodplains.

How to Comment on the draft SOF:

The public is invited to provide input on the draft SOF. Comments received during the public comment period will be used to help evaluate issues and concerns to be further addressed in the environmental review process. Comments will be accepted from Feb. 1, through March 1, 2016. You should be aware that your entire comment, including any personal identifying information, may be made publicly available at any time.
