Seattle - Rangers at Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park are inviting families to come and discover Washington state's National Park Service sites without having to leave the city. The park’s newest scavenger hunt is designed to get kids 10 and under familiar with the urban park while providing their caregivers tips on visiting the 12 featured sites. Kids who complete the activity will receive a special surprise.
The free activity is available beginning on Saturday April 16 National Park Junior Ranger Day. There will also be other fun activities including playing some national park board games with a ranger. The park is open from 10 am to 5 pm daily, and is located on the corner of 2nd Ave South and South Jackson Street in Pioneer Square.
This new scavenger hunt coincides with the Find Your Park campaign launch earlier this month by the National Park Service and the National Park Foundation.
