The National Park Service is pleased to announce the reopening of Lakeshore Drive on the morning of Saturday, May 7. Park officials advise driving with caution due to continuing work on the road shoulder through May 9. Delays of less than five minutes will continue. Please be alert for flaggers.
Crews will also be working on Lone Rock Road through the end of May. The road will remain open, but park officials advise driving with caution.
Reconstruction of Lakeshore Drive began in January.This work was completed through a 5.8 million dollar Federal Highways Administration project.The new road has an expected lifespan of 25 years.
