(MEDIA ADVISORY) An Evening at the Arch: Yellowstone Celebrates the National Park Service Centennial

WHAT:

Yellowstone National Park and its partners will host a very special Centennial event - An Evening at the Arch - to kick off the second century of the National Park Service, highlight the importance of public/private partnerships, and recognize the completion of the Gardiner Gateway Project (Phase One). Members of the media are invited to a press conference with National Park Service leaders and event performers at 12:30 p.m., Aug. 25, and to the formal program from 7-8:30 p.m. Credentialed members of the media must RSVP.

WHEN:

Press Conference - Thursday, August 25

Event credentials (good for all day) available for pick up: 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Press Conference: 12:30-1 p.m.

Individual interviews will be available: 1-1:30 p.m.

Formal Program - Thursday, August 25

Event credentials available for pick up: 4-5 p.m.

Media Set-up Begins: 4 p.m.

Formal Program Begins: 7 p.m.

RSVP:

Registration is required to assist with planning and logistics. Please fill out the online registration form by August 17 at 6 p.m. MDT. (available at https://goo.gl/B0bkLt)

There is limited space for cameras and tripods. If requests exceed the available space, pools will be organized.

MEDIA CREDENTIALS:

Event credentials issued by the National Park Service are required to obtain access to the designated media areas, including parking and coverage areas for the event. Credentialed members of the media interested in covering the event must RSVP by August 17 at 6 p.m. MDT.
