Structural Fire at Cape Lookout National Seashore

At approximately 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016, a fire broke out on South Core Banks. Local fire agencies responded and were able to extinguish the fire.

Damage was sustained to Cabin 1 at Les & Sally's, a structure near the historic Cape Lookout Village. No one was injured and no other buildings were damaged. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
