BOULDER CITY, Nevada -A 48-year-old male from Florida is dead after scuba diving within Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
At 1:36 p.m. Aug. 27, the Lake Mead National Recreation Area Interagency Communication Center received a call on marine band radio, reporting that a diver who was diving at the submerged B29 site surfaced from the dive unconscious.
Personnel from the National Park Service, Nevada Department of Wildlife, Mercy Air and the Clark County Fire Department responded and performed patient care. The victim could not be revived and was pronounced dead at 2:40 p.m.
The Clark County Medical Examiner will confirm the victim's identity and cause of death. The incident is under investigation.
