Manhattan Project NHP Junior Ranger Book Now Available in Japanese

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on Nov. 14, 2016. It is reproduced in full below.

Manhattan Project National Historical Park is pleased to announce that the park’s Junior Ranger book for the Oak Ridge unit has been translated into Japanese. The book was graciously translated by park volunteer, Shigeko Uppuluri, and is now available for download on the park’s website.

“Junior rangers truly are from all over the world and Manhattan Project NHP is working to ensure park publications reflect the diversity of park visitors," said Niki Stephanie Nicholas, Acting Site Manager and Superintendent for Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area. The Manhattan Project Oak Ridge unit is also currently working on a Spanish translation of the book and will be available soon.
