Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area Public Scoping Meeting

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on Nov. 28, 2016. It is reproduced in full below.

Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area will be hosting a public scoping meeting at the Community Colleges of Spokane Colville Campus, 985 North Elm Street, on December 20th at 6:00 pm.

The focus of this scoping meeting is to discuss the expansion of a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities and a forest health project near Rickey Point in Stevens County. Preliminary recreational options include: development of a disc golf course, installation of a traditional or 3-D archery range, expansion of the Park’s trail system, and the development of a Kettle River Water Trail for non-motorized watercraft.

Please join us in discussing these preliminary ideas. Public input in the planning process is greatly appreciated.
