INDIANA DUNES NATIONAL LAKESHORE: Join staff and other volunteers on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore’s Chellberg Farm for a morning of stewardship and fellowship.
Maple Sugar Time in March 2017 will host thousands of visitors. What most people never see is the work that leads up to the event. Maple Sugar Time requires lots of firewood for the making of maple syrup. We will be splitting and stacking firewood as well as clearing the paths in the sugar bush for the big event. Dress to be outdoors the entire time by wearing layers of clothing so you can adjust your temperature as we work. Meet at the main Chellberg Farm / Bailly Homestead parking lot.
