The historic Tumacácori Mission church will once again fill with the sound of music, brought to us by Santa Cruz Foundation for the Performing Arts’ premier community chorus. On Sunday, April 30 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., the Santa Cruz Singers, under the direction of Christina Wilhelm, will present a concert of sacred music featuring the Gloria in D by Antonio Vivaldi. The featured piece is a 17th century choral masterpiece written for the choir of the Ospedale Della Pieta in Venice, Italy. “Music played a central role in mission life while the church was active," says Superintendent Bob Love, “Hundreds of years later, concerts continue to bring the community together here at Tumacácori."
Admission to the park is $5.00 per adult, free for federal pass holders and children under age 16. There is no additional charge for the concert.
