Denali Accepting Applications for 2018 Artist-in-Residence Program

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on May 16, 2017. It is reproduced in full below.

As Denali National Park and Preserve's celebrates its 100th birthday, the park is committed to embracing the next century of inspiration and conservation.

Denali is seeking a diverse suite of voices for its Artist-in-Residence Program to share the park’s unique story through art and with an eye to the future. We are asking applicants to focus on the subjects of sustainability, recycling, re-purposing or climate change. Alaska Native artists and artists between the ages of 16 and 25 are strongly encouraged to apply.

Applications will be accepted through an online process hosted by CaFÉ (CallForEntry.org ) May 15 to Sept. 30, 2017, for residencies during the winter and summer of 2018. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

An alternative application may be submitted to the program coordinator if lack of computer access or bandwidth prevents use of the CaFÉ system. Applicants ages 16-18 are required to submit an additional parental consent form. For questions or requests for additional information, contact Cinnamon Dockham, program coordinator.
