Join park rangers and skilled volunteers for Maritime Living History 101 throughout Glen Haven and the Maritime Museum on Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. All programs are free with a valid park pass.
You can try out various aspects of village life, watch a blacksmith forge metal, try your hand at timber-framing, learn about shipping and shipwrecks, practice early rescue techniques performed by the U.S. Life-Saving Service, and much more! Stations will be staffed by rangers and volunteers throughout Glen Haven and the Maritime Museum.
