Gunnison, CO: Ponderosa campground and launch ramp will open for the season on Thursday, June 8. Hours of the Ponderosa inspection station and boat ramp - through Labor Day - will be 8 am to 4:30 pm Thursday through Monday. The station and ramp are closed to all launching on Tuesdays and Wednesdays due to limited staffing. Outside of inspection hours, the ramp is locked.
The campground is open every day of the week and sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Elk Creek Visitor Center hours are now 8 am to 6 pm, 7 days a week until mid-September.
