Visitor Dies after Collapsing at the Teklanika Rest Stop in Denali

A man died today in Denali National Park and Preserve after collapsing at the Teklanika Rest Stop. The visitor’s name and hometown have not been released pending notification of family.

Park rangers were called to the scene at approximately 1:36 p.m. after a call of an unresponsive adult male. Upon arrival, Rangers performed CPR and were unable to revive him. The victim was pronounced dead at approximately 2:22 p.m.

An investigation in underway and additional information may be released at a later date.
