Discover how scientific research works at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Join National Park Service staff on Tuesday, July 25 at 1:00 p.m. at the Philip A. Hart Visitor Center Auditorium in Empire, Michigan. This presentation is open to the public and there is no fee to attend.

Scientific research helps park managers make important decisions when caring for our parks. Wendy Smith, Education Coordinator for the Great Lakes Research and Education Center, will be on hand to share an overview of scientific investigations going on within Sleeping Bear Dunes. From shipwrecks and sea lampreys to forests and fire history, get a glimpse into the research going on in your national park!
