Park Offers Special Botanical Walk

Pecos, NM: - Pecos National Historical Park will offer a free botany walk on Sunday, August 20th. Park volunteers Susan and Dr. Ken Bower, who are docents at the Santa Fe Botanical Garden, are passionate and extremely knowledgeable amateur botanists. On this one mile roundtrip walk along the main trail, they will lead visitors in an exploration of ethnobotany, landscape history, and the interactions between wildlife and the park flora that make Pecos special. Attendees will meet at the Visitor Center at 10:45 a.m. and proceed on to the trail from there. The tour will end at 12:30 p.m. Please come early as this is a popular program.
