On Friday, Nov. 24, 2017 Joshua Tree National Park received a report of a missing 18-year old male hiker. Joshua Tree Search and Rescue (JOSAR) volunteers, and National Park Service personnel began a preliminary search.
The young man was identified in the park on Sunday morning, Nov. 26, having just taken a few days longer than he anticipated to complete his hike. No further action is needed.
