Cape Cod National Seashore to Host Pro Tips on Enjoying Winter Outdoors--A Workshop with Goose Hummock and L.L. Bean

WELLFLEET, Mass. - Cape Cod National Seashore and Friends of the Cape Cod National Seashore are partnering with Goose Hummock and L.L. Bean for a winter activities workshop on Saturday, January 13 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Salt Pond Visitor Center in Eastham. Learn tips and tricks from the experts on beating cabin fever and safely enjoying Cape Cod’s outdoor activities, even in the depths of winter.

The two-hour workshop includes presentations and a Q&A session. Goose Hummock staff will share best strategies and locations for paddling and fishing on the Cape during the winter months. Staff from L.L. Bean will follow with tips for how to dress to stay safe and comfortable for any outdoor winter activity. Afterwards, during an informal session in the visitor center lobby, Goose Hummock, L.L. Bean, and national seashore staff will answer questions about winter activities. Friends of the Cape Cod National Seashore will provide hot chocolate.

The center is open daily from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, with staff to assist with activity planning. Visit the museum, view a park film, enjoy panoramic views of Salt Pond and Nauset Marsh, and shop in the gift and bookstore featuring national seashore-related items.
