Lake Roosevelt Water Levels Drop as February Weather Warms Up

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on Feb. 26, 2018. It is reproduced in full below.

With warming temperatures in February, the Bureau of Reclamation has begun the spring drawdown at Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area. As water levels drop, the visiting public is reminded to check lake levels before launching their boats to make sure that their preferred boat launch is still accessible when they return at the end of their trip.

Please remember that driving off road, metal detecting and digging of any kind are against park regulations. To protect our cultural and natural resource damage, Park Rangers are patrolling throughout the park. If you witness any of these activities on the drawdown or anywhere in the park, please call 509-754-7872 to report.
