The Southeast Archeological Center is receiving long overdue guidance for managing the
extensive archeological collection housed here. A team of National Park Service museum
and archeology professionals is visiting the Center from April 3-12 and will prepare a
draft Collection Management Plan that will guide the Center’s efforts to manage park
artifacts and archeology project documents for years to come. A series of
recommendations will be provided by the team during their close-out on April 12. The
team is led by Mary Troy, Southeast Region Chief of Museum and Archival Services.
