Happening Today: Pile Burning at the Northeast Entrance

* Wildland fire staff will burn piles of woody debris at the Northeast Entrance Monday, May 21.

* Staff will ignite the piles between 9 and 10 a.m.

* Expect smoke in the area after 9 a.m. and through Tuesday morning.

* Burning the piles is the last step of the Firewise project where staff removed vegetation around buildings in order to reduce the threat of wildfire.
